Performing Arts Festival for Children and Youth

Recognized as the biggest performing arts festival for children and young people in Korea, ASSITEJ Korea International Summer Festival (here in after called Summer Festival) has been running since 1993 and presents both Korean and international TYA.

ASSITEJ Korea has introduced various genres of theatre including dance,
music theatre, object theatre, workshop programmes and exhibitory events. More than 300,000 people have visited the Summer Festival over the last 25 years.

[14^th İzmir International Puppet Days]

From 5-22 March, 2020 in Izmir, Turkey

In the 14th Izmir International Puppet Days which will take place between 5-22 March 2020, 50 puppet theater groups from 23 countries will perform 52 performances 223 times at 37 venues spread around the city. The festival will welcome art enthusiasts with 5 exhibitions. 2 workshops for professional stage artists and a panel will enrich the festival program. One of the most recognized puppet festivals in the world is about to begin in Izmir for the fourteenth time…

[K-PAP 2020 Korean Performing Arts Platform

for Children and Youth 2020 ]

ASSITEJ Korea has been hosting the ASSITEJ Korea Winter Festival in Seoul since 2005
in order to revitalize Korean children’s theatre every Winter.

During every winter vacation, ASSITEJ Korea provides family members with opportunities
to participate in cultural activities.

Since 2012, the Winter Festival has introduced outstanding Korean TYA to
international festival directors and promoters including performances which have received
the Seoul Children Theatre Award (SCTA), as well as contributing to the distribution
of Korean children’s theatre and international networking between artists.

For the upcoming Winter Festival in 2020, Yosup Bae, director of
the performance Group TUIDA, will join as the artistic director.
